Are you okay?

Last night Jack was a chatter box, which describes his last few days, and I wanted to capture it on the video camera - Until I remembered that it was full and needed to be uploaded onto the computer. So, I got my wonderful husband to complete said task and we then spent the whole night watching old videos of Jack. I cried, a lot. Jack LOVED watching himself on the TV and kept saying 'OWEN?!' and we had to remind him it was Jack. We will have to take a video of him watching the videos of himself, he just smiles and laughs.

Anyway.

We got the video camera just after Jack was born, he was probably two or so months old. But! We were really bad about using it and instead would use the video funtion on our phones. Well, the dog ate my phone and I washed Clay's phone (whoops!) so we thought we lost all of the video of Jack walking. GONE. FOREVER. Until we uploaded the 122 videos of him last night (okay, a few were Owen, but still - 122!? REALLY?!)

There it was. My naked, well diapered but mostly naked, Jack taking some of his first steps. I cried, a lot. I was so happy to have found that small little 4 minute video of a time in our lives that was so exciting and thought to be gone forever. Jack just kept turning to me and asking 'Are you otaaaay?' and helping me wipe my tears.

Where did my little baby go. I kept turning to Clay, tears streaming down my face, saying 'I don't remember him being this little!' It's just another reminder that kids grow up too fast and life just flies by, no matter how hard to try to slow it down.

Happy Thanksgiving!

He melts my heart.

He so wants to just crawl all over the place!

Just proof that Jack was there...He was busy throwing an epic fit while I took these pictures. He's getting too smart - he knows that there is candy in the pantry, and when he remembers he wont let it go until he gets some. Well, after only eating candied yams, pie and cake all day I wasn't going to give the already sugar-comma-ed two year old candy. So, he cried for 20 minutes. Oh how I love having a two year old!

But really, this year, I am thankful for so many things. For being able to stay home with my babies, for my hard working husband, for two healthy kids, for a warm home, for my health, for my sanity(though it may not be fully intact), for friends, for parents, for all of the modern technology that makes my life so much easier, for the ability to put food on the table for my family, for the love I have for my husband and he has for me.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Here's to Christmas! :)

Fall Leaves!

It is a nightly adventure to see how Jack falls asleep. This has happened a few times.

He gets so excited when he realizes he can bring his chairs out of the play room and watch TV. He refuses to sit anywhere else. Clearly, he NEEDS to be .5 feet away from the screen.

The child loves football. Anytime it comes on he yells 'FOOTBALL! TOUCH DOWN!' His Daddy is proud.

We went to my Mom's and took pictures in the leaves. It was also a BSU game day so enjoy the children in their Bronco gear! So cute.

The best I think.

Jack didn't enjoy the leaves being thrown on him at all. Owen just looked concerned.

'CHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEE' in the most high pitch yell you've heard. That's what this picture would say if it could talk. Seriously. Neighbors looked out their windows in concern.

Oh! It SNOWED! Jack LOVED watching the big flakes as I cleaned. He would run from the window in the living room to the sliding glass door. It didn't stick. Damn snow...Seriously. We bought snow pants, shoes, a coat and gloves and a hat and I'm starting to doubt the need for them.

Halloween, Part 2!

Okay. I'm in touch with the fact that it is indeed November 27th (and yes, I did have to look at the computer's calendar for the date) and I'm just now putting the rest of the Halloween pictures up. Stop judging me. Just enjoy the photos! ...The above picture is the best, yes - the best, of the two of them together. Again, I challenge any of you to get the two of them to sit together and look mildly happy.

OMG. He's adorable.

This is the face I get when I have the camera in his face for too long. It just screams 'You are nuts, go away...'

Pushing Owen in the stroller.

As the night went on and he got tired he REFUSED to hold my hand, but I found ways...

Owen did so well, strolling in the stroller bundled up in his monkey costume.

Jack loves his aunt Shanda!

The lion and Daddy.

And this was the end of the road for us. After throwing an amazingly awesome temper tantrum in the middle of the side walk during prime trick or treating time we had to steal a sucker from Jack's cousin Eva (thanks again Eva!!) just to get Jack to stand up. Then, he was done. So, out came Owen and in came Jack and we went home!!

And yes, they wore matching pumpkin socks on Halloween. And yes, I made Clay take a picture.

Love Halloween, but I'm SO glad it's over. It's exhausting!

Halloween, Part 1!

...This is how fly kids brush their teeth.

\
Seriously. Cutest. Kid. Ever!

Jack is a lion. Owen is a monkey. I'm debating using eye liner for Jack's face tonight when we go trick or treating. We'll see!

In the car, on the way. Poor kid was sweating to death so we rolled his window down (he also was having a stage 10 tantrum and this was a easy distraction).

OMG! Look at that face!

Every time someone would put candy in his bag he'd reach for it and say 'MORE!?'

So cute!

...I'll give you $100 if you can get them both to look at the camera and smile. Seriously, $100!

Look at those CHINS!

I'm ready for this holiday to be done with. Two small children getting dressed up to walk around in the cold and collect candy isn't as much fun as I thought. But! It will be SO much fun when they are just a little older! I'm thinking Mario and Lugi for next year! :)

Just because!

Cena came for a visit and talked about how she made caramel apples...Clayton couldn't get them off of his mind, so to the store we went! They make caramel wraps! So easy and yummy. Though, messy!!

Jack just ate the caramel off...

Please note there are only pictures of Jack eating his apple, adults eating caramel apples isn't cute. :)

During nap-time this week Jack decided to make a bed on the ottoman. So cute! (he seems to never have a shirt on...Hmph)

This melts my heart. I love it when they get along so well.

Seriously! Perfection! If only Jack had more clothes on.

Our poor baby Jack didn't feel well and took a nap with Daddy!

Now that Owen is sitting up we can give both boys a bath at the same time (trust me, it's a HUGE deal!). They love it.

We have a very busy weekend ahead of us. I'm trying to catch up on laundry and house cleaning (these daycare kids are making it impossible to keep my house clean!). Tonight we have my mom's birthday dinner, tomorrow we have date night, pumpkin carving, grocery shopping, bountiful basket, trunk or treating...AH! It's too much to think about.

So excited for all of the memories waiting to be made from this time of year!

Fall Days!

Owen is 5 months old and...

Sitting up! It happened overnight! We haven't even been practicing, mostly because we've been really busy and I haven't been dying to see my little bug grow up any faster than he is. While I was cooking dinner Clayton was playing with the boys on the floor. Suddenly I hear 'Honey! Look! He's doing it!' and I look over and there Owen is, covered in drool - smiling from ear to ear SITTING UP! My reaction was simple... 'DON'T LET HIM DO THAT! PUSH HIM OVER!' Of course, we didn't - and I wasn't serious, but really! Do they have to grow up so fast?

This big boy melts my heart. When did he get so old looking? He's seriously going to break hearts. Poor girls!

OMG! He's so cute! I can't hardly stand it!

We are trying to introduce solids to Owen. We are trying a different approach with this baby. Baby Lead Weening. Look it up! It's CRAZY and we are doing it, sorta. We gave him some bananas and noodles.

This was his face most of the time. You would think the bananas were sour! So cute.

And this is Jack. covered in sauce. Cute until you are the one that has to clean him off.

Oh the adventures of sleeping in a big boy bed. Seriously. HOW DO YOU FALL ASLEEP WITH YOUR LEG IN AN EASTER BASKET?! How does that happen?! Why was his Easter basket in his room?

We finally decided to brave the pumpkin patch, though we went to the fancy local attraction that includes slides, a corn pit (yes, a pit filled with dried corn!), pony and hay rides and so much more!

He's so handsome!

I love my boys!

He kept neighing at the cow ride, so cute!

This is the result of what felt like 20 minutes trying to get both of them to look at me and sit and take a darn picture. This is seriously the best of what we got.

He was so interested in the lumpy pumpkins!

Owen was there too, this is the proof.

He neighs SO loud when he sees an actual horse.

He was so utterly uninterested and annoyed that I made him sit here for this picture.

They both were. But, how cute are they!

OMG! Jack rode a pony! He was really excited to get on it, then immediately wanted off. He kept asking 'Off?' 'Out?' 'All done!' and then when we started walking and he LOVED it!

So adorable!

Life is good! Busy with two little ones but I'm loving every minute of it (well, maybe not the minute, or ten, Jack throws a fit or Owen poops all over the cute outfit I just put him in, let's be honest)! They are growing up WAY to fast. Halloween is so close - I'm excited for Jack to get to trick or treat. We've been practicing!

Until next time! <3
